Security

We are confident that your credit card number and personal information are secure. Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security system, which is widely accepted as the Internet security standard. It is important to note that we do not keep any credit card information on our e-commerce site. When you submit your credit card number it is encrypted so your information is secure as it travels across the Internet. The credit card information is submitted to your bank via CyberCash. Our e-commerce site only stores the type of credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express) and the authorization number returned by your bank via CyberCash. As added protection, we have subscribed to the security services of Versign.

Export Control

Buyer acknowledges that products purchased through the On-Line Ordering are subject to United States export control laws and regulations. Buyer agrees to comply with all such laws and regulations.

Pricing and sales tax:

U.S. and Canada

The total cost of your order is equal to the price of your items plus shipping cost and sales tax. We will charge taxes in all states where applicable. If we have a sales tax exemption certificate on file for your company, sales tax will not be charged. We are not registered to collect sales tax for Canada. Your company must pay any taxes due directly to the government of Canada.

All prices listed herein are in U.S. currency, f.o.b. Oak Ridge, Tennessee, U.S.A. These prices apply only to the U.S.A. and are subject to change without notice.

United Kingdom

The total cost of your order is equal to the price of your items plus value added taxes (VAT).  All prices listed herein are in British Pounds currency, e.x.w. Oak Ridge, Tennessee, U.S.A. These prices apply only to the customers within the United Kingdom and are subject to change without notice.

European EEC Countries

The total cost of your order is equal to the price of your items plus value added taxes (VAT).  The price includes duty and shipping cost.  All prices listed herein are in Euro currency, e.x.w. Oak Ridge, Tennessee, U.S.A.  These prices apply only to the customers within the EEC and are subject to change without notice.

All Other Countries

You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information.  All prices listed herein are in U.S. dollars, e.x.w. Oak Ridge, Tennessee, U.S.A.  These prices apply only to customers not within the U.S.A, Canada, United Kingdom, or the EEC.  Prices are subject to change without notice.

Paying by Credit Card:

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We will not charge your credit card until your order has been shipped. 

Quote with Credit Card

If you want to submit an order online without entering your credit card information, please select the ordering option "Quote with credit card".  Print the generated quotation, and call 1-800-251-9750 extension 343 with your credit card information.  Quotes are valid for 60 days.

Quote with Purchase Order

If you want to submit an order online with a purchase order, please select the ordering option "Quote with purchase order".  The generated quotation can be printed and faxed along with your purchase order to 1-865-483-0396.  Quotes are valid for 60 days.

Shipping Options

The shipping options are:

  • Surface (Ground)
  • Next Day Air
  • 2nd Day Air

The shipping methods are:

  • Using your shipper:  We do accept orders using your shipper and account number.
  • Using our shipper:  For U.S.A. and Canada, shipping cost is calculated based on weight, location, and shipping option selected.  There will be a minimum charge of $5.00.

For countries outside the U.S. and Canada, the shipping cost is included in the price.

There will be no partial shipments with orders placed on our e-commerce site.

Damage in Transit

Shipments should be examined immediately upon receipt for evidence of external or concealed damage. The carrier making delivery should be notified immediately of any such damage, because the carrier is normally liable for damage in shipment. Packing materials, waybills, and other such documentation should be preserved in order to establish the claim. After such notification to the carrier, please notify the Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc of the circumstances so that assistance can be provided in making damage claims and in providing replacement equipment, if necessary.

Return/Restocking Policy

A restocking fee of 15% of the list price will be charged for unused items returned to the Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc within 90 days of the shipment date. Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc subjects all returned products to rigorous inspection and the full-quality control tests performed on new instruments. The instrument is returned to stock in new product condition. The restocking fee is necessary to cover this extra cost plus handling and accounting costs. Specially modified products or products designed to customer specifications cannot be accepted for restocking. Neither will unused items return after 90 days nor used items be accepted for restocking.

Products distributed by the Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc, but not manufactured by the Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc, cannot be returned for credit unless the original manufacturer agrees to a return for credit.

The restocking fee does not apply if the Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc determines that the return is necessary because of an error on the part of the Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc.

Repair Service

If it becomes necessary to return an instrument for repair, it is essential that Customer Services be contacted in advance of its return so that a Return Authorization Number can be assigned to the unit. Also, the Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc must be informed in writing, by telephone (800-251-9750, extension 231) or 865-482-4411, extension 231), or by FAX (865-483-2279) of the nature of the fault in the instrument being returned and of the model, serial, and revision ("Rev" on rear panel) numbers. Failure to do so may cause unnecessary delays in getting the unit repaired.

 

The the Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc standard procedure requires that instruments returned for repair pass the same quality control tests that are used for new-production instruments.

 

Instruments that are returned should be packed to withstand normal transit handling and must be shipped PREPAID via United Parcel Service (or equivalent), air parcel post, or airfreight to the nearest the Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc repair center. The address label and the package must include the Return Authorization Number assigned.

 

Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc will pay shipment cost both ways if the instrument does not function at the time of purchase. Instruments being returned that is damaged in transit due to inadequate packing will be repaired at the sender's expense, and it will be the sender's responsibility to make claim with the shipper.

Instruments not in warranty will be repaired at the standard charge unless they have been grossly misused or mishandled, in which case the user will be notified prior to the repair being performed. A quotation will be sent with the notification.

You can check your order status online by clicking "Order History" on the left navigation bar. You can also track your order by calling our customer service center at 1-800-251-9750, extension 375 by referencing your order number and account number.

 

Canceling or changing an order:

Please call us at 1-800-251-9750, extension 343 to find out whether your order can be modified or cancelled.
